About Four Gate Tennessee Foundation Batch 8 Bourbon Whiskey

Four Gate Whiskey Company started releasing its small-batch expressions with innovative finishes in 2019, gaining much critical acclaim from the start. Batches 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 all received Whisky Advocate scores of 90 points or higher, and various well-regarded writers and online reviewers named batches 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 amongst the top 10 American whiskeys of 2019 and 2020.

Four Gate Whiskey Company’s Release #8, Tennessee Foundation, is a 10-year-old unfinished Tennessee straight bourbon whiskey. This is the company’s third expression bottled without finishing, following two unfinished Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey batches, dubbed "Foundation," presented in late 2019 and in early 2020. For Batch #8, Straub and D’Antoni, selected and blended five barrels of 10-year-old Tennessee straight bourbon with a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley, bottling it at 112.2 proof. With only 812 bottles produced, this is a very limited edition even for Four Gate.

About Four Gate Whiskey Company

In 2018 Bill Straub and Bob D'Antoni, both whiskey enthusiasts, founded the Four Gate Whiskey Company in Kentucky and launched their mission to release extra small batches of unique combinations of whiskey and finish barrels. Specializing in sourced whiskey blends and partnering with Kelvin Cooperage, a family-owned barrel supplier founded in 1963 in Scotland and currently based in Louisv ille, the combinations of quality whiskey blends and used barrels they put together are truly ecclectic. From bourbon finished in cognac and dark rum casks to split stave casks, there is really no idea too wild for Four Gate and they make it work.

Four Gate Whiskey Company’s Release #6, The Kelvin Collaboration II, is a 12-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon finished in cognac and rum casks. This expression is a follow-up on their very first release of a barrel finished whiskey, The Kelvin Collaboration from April 2019, which was extremely well received. Kelvin Cooperage acquired dark rum barrels from the same rum distillery as the barrels used to finish batch 1. The underlying bourbon is made from a mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley. Adding a new twist, Straub and D’Antoni created a sweet and smoky expression that was named Barrel-Finished Whiskey of the Year 2020 by Fred Minnick. 2,574 bottles were produced at 126.4 proof.

About Four Roses Cask Strength Small Batch 2017 Bourbon Whiskey

Following Prohibition, Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon became the top-selling bourbon in the United States. In 1943, Seagram's bought the distillery and a decade later, discontinued the sale of Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon. In 2002, the distillery changed hands again, and the new owner brought a renewed sense of purpose and vigor to Four Roses.

Approximately 13,800 hand-numbered bottles of Four Roses Small Batch 2017 Bourbon Whiskey were released in 2017. Upon the release, Master Distiller Brent Elliot explained "the magic happened early on with this Small Batch Bourbon — after only my third test blend, I knew we had hit the target and then some. Once we combined them, it resulted in more depth, richness and warmth than any one of the individual recipes." A small batch Kentucky bourbon, this dram brings together only the best of barrels. Bottled at cask strength of 108 proof and barrel aged between 12-15 years, expect intensely fruity flavors and sweet vanilla flavors, but they never become too much. If opened up with a few drops of water, the palate develops further and delivers notes of butterscotch, oak and banana.

About Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2020 Bourbon Whiskey

Following Prohibition, Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon became the top-selling bourbon in the United States. In 1943, Seagram’s bought the distillery and a decade later, discontinued the sale of Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon. In 2002, the distillery changed hands again, and the new owner brought a renewed sense of purpose and vigor to Four Roses.

A signature trait of Four Roses is their use of full transparency; they display the different distillates and recipes that go into each bottle. This showcases how the limited edition blends have evolved year after year. Historically The Four Roses Distillery has been known to use five different yeast strains and two mash bills at any given time. This means that a total of 10 different distillates can be used to blend their bourbons. Every barrel at Four Roses is labeled with a four-letter code. Each yeast strain and mash bill is identified by corresponding letters K, O, Q, F, V (for the mash bills) and E and O (for the yeast strains).

There's a special edition, small-batch bourbon that Four Roses releases every September in honor of National Bourbon Month. The 2020 release is a 111.4-proof bourbon that is bottled without chill-filtration and is crafted with a hand-picked selection of batches: a 12YO OBSV-recipe bourbon, a 12-year-old OESV, a 19-year-old OBSK, and a 16-year-old OESK. "Each batch in this year’s limited edition bottling is an exceptional whiskey that could have stood on its own as a single barrel offering, but in this case the sum is even greater than the parts. Together these bring a perfect balance of bright, vibrant flavors and aromas from the 12 and 16-year-old barrels combined with the oak tones and aged expressions from the 19-year-old batch," says Master Distiller Brent Elliott. As a non-core range limited edition, once this bourbon is gone, it’s gone forever.

About Foursquare

The history of Foursquare Rums begins in 1926, when the Seale family began sourcing rum from Barbados distilleries, blending and bottling them. Eventually, they acquire other brands up until the mid-1990s, when Richard Seale, the fifth generation in the family business, worked alongside his father to renovate an abandoned sugar factory. Today, the Foursquare Rum Distillery’s output rivals that of its neighbor Mount Gay Rum.

Foursquare Distillery, is situated in St. Philip, Barbados, is one of the steadfast supporters of Caribbean rum production. This particular release was created by 4th generation distiller Richard Seale (also known as the "Pappy of Rum"), as a tribute to an early period of rum production when it was transported in ex-sherry and port barrels.

About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.

About Game of Thrones Whisky Set

In honor of the seven Houses of Westeros, and the legendary Night’s Watch, this collection delivers rich flavors and brilliant illustrations sure to captivate true Game of Thrones fans. Crafted from 100% malted Scottish barley using unique production techniques these single malts are aged in a variety of oak casks.

Clynelish distillery’s landscape echoes the geography of House Tyrell’s green and fertile HighGarden home in the land of Westeros. This single malt has an underlying, complex combination of Highland and maritime notes, complemented by bursts of fresh tropical fruits that give way to a smooth vanilla character.

Representing House Greyjoy is a Talisker single malt truly fitting for House Greyjoy. This whisky is distilled on the shores of the Isle of Skye, one of the most remote and rugged areas of Scotland. House Baratheon is represented by Royal Lochnagar’s 12-Year-Old single malt, a regal balance of fruits and spices.

Capturing the House Stark is Dalwhinnie, one of the highest distilleries in Scotland that mirrors House Stark’s resiliency, strength and ability to thrive under the most frigid, extreme temperatures. House Targaryen is aptly paired with legendary Scotch house Cardhu. Scotland's own mother of dragons, the rebellious Helen Cumming, trail-blazed the success in making Cardhu one of the most iconic names in Scotch.

Representing House Lannister, Lagavulin is the embodiment of the meticulous calculation and tenacity employed by the Lannister’s in their rise to conquer the Iron Throne. This Lagavulin 9 year is a roaring single malt that recalls the Lannisters' riches and is best served neat or with a single drop of water.

Paired with House Tully is The Singleton of Glendullan. The power of water flows through both House Tully and The Singleton of Glendullan Select. It is decorated with a jumping trout, the sigil of House Tully.

The Night’s Watch: Oban The Oban distillery sits beneath the steep cliff that overlooks the bay in the frontier between the western Highlands and the Islands of Scotland, just as Castle Black —home of The Night’s Watch— sits between Westeros and the lands beyond The Wall.

This rare limited edition collection is perfect for Scotch lovers and Game of Thrones fans alike. Prepare yourself for the final battle for the fate of the Seven Kingdoms with this incredible set of Game of Thrones inspired Scotch whiskies.

About Scotch

Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them pro duces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)

Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

About Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon 2019 Edition

Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made from organic corn, wheat and barley. "We get about 30,000 pounds of corn, wheat and barley delivered a month," says Garrison. "The wheat comes from our own fields — we have 65 acres of wheat on the other side of the property."In addition, the corn is harvested from local fields in Texas while the barley is sourced from the Pacific Northwest.

Once the grains arrive at the distillery, they are milled and mashed before being fermented for four days. Following fermentation, the wash is distilled through an antique, copper pot still nicknamed the copper cowgirl. "She was made as an experimental still," says Garrison, "for Wild Turkey Distillery." After the bourbon has been distilled, it is aged in charred, American oak barrels. "The char softens the wood, and allows the bourbon to expand into the wood. When it gets hot — and it gets hot out here in Texas — that bourbon will soak deep into the wood and extract the chemical compounds that are in there."

This 2019 Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon clocks in at a high-octane 137.7 proof. It is drawn from the distillery team’s favorite barrels, which were set aside for a couple of years for further maturation. The liquid is bottled at cask-strength, uncut and unfiltered. Each barrel used in this 2019 release was aged up to five years.

“It takes a special barrel to create a bourbon nectar sweet enough to be enjoyed at such a high proof, the potency normally overpowers the flavor. That ain’t the case with the Cowboy – it’s so sweet, the flavor overpowers its proof. And you can thank the Texas heat for that” (Garrison Brothers Distillery).

In 2013, Dan Garrison unveiled a secret stock of barrels which he’d been hiding away at the distillery for several years. According to Dan, these were the ten best barrels he’d ever tasted at Garrison Brothers Distillery, and he decided to bottle them together as a special release: Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon. The bourbon — which was uncut and unfiltered, coming in at an astounding 136 proof — was limited to only 600 bottles, and immediately won myriad accolades including Jim Murray’s “Micro Whisky of the Year”. Now, for the first time since 2013, Garrison Brothers Distillery is releasing another Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon, aged twice as long and this time with just 3,750 bottles available nationwide.

The oldest bourbon ever produced in Texas, Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon Barrel Proof Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey has a bright mahogany color and aroma of burnt sugar, caramel and baking spices. The palate is filled with warm notes of peach cobbler, vanilla extract and roasted nuts, and leads to a s mooth finish accented by pipe tobacco, cornbread and melted butter.

About Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey

For starters, their whisky harnesses the pure water that flows from the Mabou Highlands, where it flows over granite, marble, and maple and apple tree roots. First, the harvested barley is brought into the distillery, soaked, and allowed to germinate. Next, it is transferred into a kiln building, where smoke and heat halt the germination process, making it ready to be ground and soaked in hot water that dissolves the sugar. Yeast is added to the cooled wort, bringing the alcohol content to 9% ABV. Finally, the liquid is distilled twice using copper pot stills. The new make spirit is then aged in oak casks in the warehouse, surrounded by apple and maple trees for at least 3 years.

Their flagship Rare lineup of whiskies started with the 8 Year Old in 2000, with the oldest expression reaching 30 years of age. Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old has spent 14 years in hand-picked American oak casks before being bottled at 86 proof. Rich and complex, the expression has won a Bronze Medal at the New York International Spirits Competition for its richness and complexity with notes of citrus, pine, honey, hazelnut, and gentle smoke.

About Glen Garioch 37 Year Old Bicentenary 200th Anniversary Edition

Glen Garioch Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from barley harvested from the Valley of the Garioch. After the barley has been harvested, it is mashed and fermented with water drawn from the Silent Spring. In 1968, production of whisky at Glen Garioch Distillery was suspended as the area surrounding the distillery experienced a severe drought. Four years later, an incredibly pure spring was discovered upon a neighborhooding farm. The Silent Spring, as it came to be known, could neither be seen nor heard without modern instruments, and has been Glen Garioch's water source for over four decades. Once the barley has been fermented, it is distilled twice — first through Glen Garioch copper-pot wash still and then again through its spirit still.

This gorgeous golden dram was released in honor of the 200 year anniversary of the distillery. That happened on the same day that the reopening did. Only 200 fit-for-celebration bottles were ever made. It’s rare and highly in-demand.

You’ll do your collection a huge favor by grabbing this one for yourself!

About Glen Garioch

Situated in the village of Old Meldrum in the Scottish Highlands, the Glen Garioch (pronounced Glen Geery) Distillery was founded in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson. The distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland, and takes its name from the Valley of the Garioch, which is situated adjacent to the distillery and is known for producing the finest barley in all of Scotland. The distillery — the most easterly in Scotland — enjoys the temperate climate and cool breeze that are ideal for the production and maturation of whisky.

About Scotch

Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes.

It starts off heavy on the nose but is balanced with exotic fruit and honey. There are apparent coal elements that hit the palate, and the finish is satisfyingly smokey as well.
