About Kentucky Owl
Kentucky Owl was founded by Charles Mortimer Dedman, a local pharmacist, in 1879. After marrying his wife, Dedman was given a large parcel of land on the banks of the Kentucky River, as a wedding gift from his adopted father who was a local town judge. C.M. Dedman Distillery was established here on the banks of the Kentucky River, producing "The Wise Man's Bourbon" under Distilled Spirits Plant Designation "No. 16", one of Kentucky’s original distilleries and part of a booming industry.Kentucky Owl achieved much success and production continued until Prohibition halted distillation. The family-run facility was no match for the "forces of teetotalism, temperance and eventually, the Feds". In 1916, Prohibition left several local distilleries with ample reserves of bourbon. As for Kentucky Owl, approximately 250,000 gallons of bourbon were left over in various stages of aging. Today these reserves would be worth about $40 million in inventory. After Federal agents descended on the Dedman’s distillery, the bourbon was seized and shipped up the river by barge to the state capital in Frankfort for "safekeeping" in a warehouse.
Currently, Ke ntucky Owl is in the midst of designing a stunning state-of-the-art distillery park with rickhouses for aging, a bottling center, as well as a vintage dinner train to stop on the property. It will be built at Cedar Creek Quarry in Bardstown. The 420-acre site will boast beautiful lakes with crystal clear, limestone-filtered water that will be used in their whiskey production.

The wheated bourbon spent 18 years in those barrels before being bottled for this prestigious Jefferson's series.Get this piece of bourbon history today!
About Jefferson's
The principal author of the Declaration of Independence and one of the most illustrious founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson was elected the third President of the United States in 1800. During his tenure as President, Jefferson authorized the purchase of the Louisiana Territory, dispatched Lewis and Clark westward to explore the remainder of the continent, and repealed the Whiskey Excise Tax.After Jefferson retired from public office in 1815, he often tended to the garden that he had cultivated at his Monticello estate. At the time, it was customary for wealthy farmers, including Jefferson, to make their own garden spirits. Each farmer's spirits were unique and reflected their personal tastes and the local terroir of their farm. Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is crafted by Chet and Trey Zoeller in honor of Jefferson and his experimental nature. While the Zoellers were inspired by Jefferson, th eir roots can be traced back for generations deep into Kentucky's bourbon history.

About Cragganmore
Situated in the Speyside region of Scotland, the Cragganmore Distillery was founded by John Smith in 1870. Smith heralded from a dynastic whisky family — his family had previously been involved in the operation of the Macallan, Glenfarclas and Glenlivet distilleries, and he was related to George Smith, the founder of the Glenlivet Distillery. The name of the distillery (Cragganmore translates to "big rock"in ancient Galiec) is from derived the greenstone rocks sourced from a nearby hill that were used to build the distillery's infrastructure and maturation warehouses. Upon Smith's death in 1886, his son largely rebuilt the distillery and refurbished its equipment while preserving its traditional distillation techniques.Today, the Cragganmore Distillery continues to honor the Smith legacy by crafting a unique single malt whisky made exclusively from lightly smoked barley. Once the barley arrives at the distillery, it is mashed in one of the distillery's six stainless steel mashtuns before being fermented in washbacks made of European larch. While larch washbacks are more difficult and expensive to maintain as compared to steel washbacks, they absorb a portion of the heat generated during fermentation and thus, contribute to a more robust flavor profile.
Following fermentation, the whisky is distilled twice through Cragganmore's copper-pot stills. The distillery's unique, flat-topped spirit stills (most distilleries have swan-shaped stills) and traditional worm-tubs (most distilleries use cooling conden sers) contribute additional complexity and flavor to the whisky.
About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

About Booker's
Jim Beam's grandson Booker Noe couldn't wait to turn 21 ― not so he could start drinking, but rather distilling. Being 6th generation distiller with Beam blood coursing through his veins, as well as growing up in the heart of Kentucky, it was only natural. He worked for years as a Master Distiller, then started bottling his very own bourbon as gifts for family and friends after retiring. In 1988 he released the first batch of his namesake Booker’s Bourbon to the public, coining the phrase "small batch" along the way. Today Booker's is run by his son Fred and operates under the Jim Beam distillery. "Fred, make sure they don't mess with my Booker's," is what he requested of his son at his retirement.About Bourbon

Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey
About Jack Daniel's 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey
Among all their offerings Jack Daniel's Black Label stands out as the instantly recognizable, iconic classic and the brand's flagship. It accounts for 96% of Jack Daniel's sales, making it the best selling whiskey in the world. While the true meaning behind the "Old No. 7" on the label was lost with Daniel's death, it is known that it won 7 gold medals in a very different time. It received its very first at the 1904 World's Fair in St Louis, Missouri, where the spirit reigned supreme over 24 others from across the globe ― a sign of things to come. The most important step in its creation is still the charcoal mellowing, or as they like to call it "The Extra Blessing". Before going into barrels, the clear, 140-proof distillate is filtered through handcrafted charcoal drop by drop, a process that takes from 3 to 5 days and is the reason behind the Black Label's signature smoothness. It is fitting, then, that the 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey expression should build on that legendary spirit. Crafted using the same mash bill (80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% barley) as the Black Label, this milestone celebration brings together the skill of Jack Daniel's distillers and coopers, resulting in a rich and complex whiskey that's barreled in slow-toasted American oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof. The delicious expression is intense with a classic Tennessee whiskey profile.

About Jack Daniel's
Born on September 5, 1850, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel was the youngest of ten children. His parents were of Scottish and Irish descent. In 1864, Jack learned the art of whiskey-making from a preacher and an enslaved man named Nathan “Nearest” Green, who eventually became Jack Daniel Distillery’s head distiller. Daniel’s distillery —founded in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in 1866— was the first registered distillery in the country (at the time , distilleries were required to register with the federal government, and the Jack Daniel Distillery was given Registered Distillery Number 1). Today, Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most distinguished and recognizable names in the spirits industry.About American Whiskey
There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don't fall into those two strictly regulated categories.
There's equally strictly regulated American single malt, made from 100% malted barley, Tennessee whiskey, essentially bourbon filtered through maple charcoal and aged in new charred oak barrels.
And then there's moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.

Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Today the facility uses the finest barley and crystal clear water from the Cawdor Burn. More time is allowed for the fermentation and the slow distillation process leads to more contact of the spirit with the copper. This minimizes the sulfur notes and brings a fruity, slightly grassy character to the spirit. The liquid is then aged and finished in different sherry casks that give Royal Brackla its rich and fruity sherried notes. The Royal Brackla range was revamped in 2019. The Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the oldest of the 3 expressions. The Highland single malt was finished in a combination of oloroso, Paolo Cortado, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and is bottled at 80 proof. It's a serious and distinguished whisky expression that is fragrant and rich with beautiful sherried notes.

About Royal Brackla
The Royal Brackla Distillery opened in 1812 by Captain William Fraser. Employing the family barley farm, the distillery had its big breakthrough in 1935. They produced the first single malt with a royal warrant, granted by King William IV, earning the nickname "The King's Own Whisky." The operation changed hands many times in the following two centuries before it was bought by Bacardi in 1998. "This is the one that was described as "The Drink Divine" by the Royal household in the 1830s. [...] "There’s only one whisky in the world that can be the first Royal whisky, I feel privileged to have worked on this," says Stephen Marshall of Bacardi.About Scotch

About Chattanooga Whiskey
Chattanooga Whiskey was founded by Tim Piersant and Joe Ledbetter in 2011. In March 2017, the company opened its second distillery in downtown Chattanooga, the Riverfront Distillery, transforming a historic car dealership into one of the largest craft bourbon distilleries in the South, with a dunnage-style heated barrelhouse with room to age more than 4,500 barrels of whiskey. This is where the distillers make their signature Tennessee high malt.Chattanooga Wh iskey’s range comprises three lines. Its signature line of straight bourbon whiskey, Tennessee High Malt, is made from four grains, including three select specialty malts. About Smoke Wagon
The story of Nevada H & C Distilling Co. began in 2004 when the screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh met co-founder Aaron Chepenik in a bar in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. They quickly realized they had the same vision for opening a bar - The Griffin, together. After a couple of years of sampling their inventory, they began discussing what they liked and didn't like about the bourbons and vodkas they were selling. One night, the idea of creating their own spirits popped up, which eventually led to them opening the first distillery in the city of Las Vegas. The City Council had to create a license, especially for them since none existed beforehand. It took 6 years of gathering equipment and setting it up, with several hurdles along the way. The bright side was that by the time they opened their doors, they had several high-rye bourbons ready, which meant they could begin operating immedia tely.
They have two brands under their belt now, both with several medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition: Silver Dollar and Smoke Wagon.

About Hibiki
In February 1899, Shinjiro Torii opened a store in Osaka, Japan, that traded in imported wines. Within a decade, Torii began producing his own sweet grape wine called Akadama Port Wine, which became wildly popular throughout the country. In 1923, Torri — fascinated by whisky his entire life — decided to expand his business and began constructing the Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's first-ever whisky distillery.Although inspired by traditional Scottish distilleries, Torii envisioned a uniquely Japanese approach to whisky and chose a location for his distillery that offered a climate and terrain utterly different from those of Scotland. Nestled on the periphery of Kyoto, Yamazaki Distillery is situated at the confluence of three rivers — the Katsura, Uji, and Kizu — that provide the warm, damp environment ideal for the production and maturation of whisky.
Fifty years after the construction of Yamazaki Distillery, Keizo Saji inherited his father's vision and constructed Suntory's second distillery. Situated amidst the deep forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in Japan's southern Alps, the Hakushu Distillery enjoys a unique microcl imate as a result of being surrounded by nearly 6,000 varieties of plants and thousand-year-old granite rocks.
About Japanese Whisky
Although maybe not be the first Spirit you would think of when Japan is mentioned; the Japanese make one of the best types of whisky in the world. It’s heavily influenced by scotch but with smoother and delicate notes.

Once we combined them, it resulted in more depth, richness and warmth than any one of the individual recipes." A small batch Kentucky bourbon, this dram brings together only the best of barrels. Bottled at cask strength of 108 proof and barrel aged between 12-15 years, expect intensely fruity flavors and sweet vanilla flavors, but they never become too much. About Chapter 7
Chapter 7 is an independent bottler's brand created in 2014, in Switzerland by Selim Evin, as a passion project dedicated to whisky. Inspired by his grandfather’s love of whisky, Evin started off by bottling single casks from Scotland's lesser known distilleries. Whiskies that laid foundations for well known brands, but where nevertheless, not very well known. Driven by sheer curiosity, Evin uncovered whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, and eventually began vatting them, "exploring the fascinating world of blending."Chapter 7’s Master blenders marry the hand-selected spirit in large vats. Selim Evin travels to Scotland and Ireland to hand select single casks from the inventories of the world’s greatest distilleries. Then he custom bottles each one with its own story. Every cask of Chapter 7 Whisky has its own unique character. From the wood, age, temperature, to its location in the rickhouse.

About Cascade Moon
Cascade Moon Editions is a new premium label of higher end whiskies, made at the Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., which famously produces George Dickel. The distillery was previously named George Dickel distillery after George A. Dickel who was born in a rural town in eastern Tennessee. By 1867, Dickel was an established Nashville merchant but moved his family to the city of Tullahoma (situated in south-central Tennessee), where he purchased the Cascade Hollow Distillery. After working tirelessly at the distillery, Dickel declared that his spirits were of equal quality to the finest scotch, and followed in the Scottish tradition of spelling whisky without an "e".While George A. Dickel Distillery was forced to close its doors as a result of Prohibition, it was rebuilt in 1958 by Master Distiller Ralph Dupps. To ensure the whisky's authenticity, Dupps obtained the original manuscripts in which Dickel detailed his unique recipe and distillation processes. The distillery was closed again in the 1990's due to the supply of George Dickel exceeding the demand – this allowed the value of whis ky to rebound and the distillery reopened its doors again in 2003. Today, the distillery is owned by Diageo.

And then there's moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.

The distillery was closed again in the 1990's due to the supply of George Dickel exceeding the demand – this allowed the value of whisky to rebound and the distillery reopened i ts doors again in 2003. Today, the distillery is owned by Diageo.

About The Macallan
Situated on a ridge above the banks of the River Spey, the Easter Elchies House has been the spiritual home of The Macallan for over three centuries. In 1820, Alexander Reid sowed the fields surrounding the rented home with barley and established the first licensed distillery on the estate, which he named Macallan after an ancient church that had been destroyed by fire during the 15th century. In the slow winter days, Reid would ferment and distill his excess grains into whisky, which was often drunk straight from the still or sold to travelers passing through the town.Today, the Macallan Estate encompasses 370 acres, 95 of which are devoted to the production of the Macallan Estate's Minstrel barley (a single acre produces about 2.5 tons of barley each year, enough to yield 1,800 bottles of The Macallan). In addition, the distillery contracts with farmers to purchase barley that is low in nitrogen and high in starch, resulting in a rich and oily whisky.
After the harvest, the barley is malted and mashed in one of The Macallan's two mash tuns, a process that takes between four and eight hours. Then, the barley is fermented with a specially cultured yeast before being distilled twice through The Macallan's copper-pot stills. The copper comprising the stills acts as a catalyst and enhances the formation of sweet esters while minimizing impurities such as sulfur. In addition, the curiously small stills — some of "the smallest stills within the Scotch whisky industry," accordi ng to production manager Alexander Tweedie — produce a whisky with a heavy, oily flavor. Following distillation, The Macallan distillers remove the heads and tails of the whisky and collect approximately 16% of the spirit to fill into casks for maturation. This "cut," which is among the highest of any Scottish distillery, results in a more full-bodied and richer whisky.

About Glenglassaugh
Eager to satisfy the growing demand for high-quality whisky from customers at his grocery store, James Moir established the Glenglassaugh Distillery in 1875. At the time, it was commonplace for store owners to distill or blend their own whisky (a store owner by the name of Johnnie Walker began blending whisky in the 1830s for his own customers). The location of Glenglassaugh Distillery — it is situated on the outskirts of Banffshire in the Highlands region of Scotland — was chosen because it offered ready access to an incredibly clean and pure water supply: Glassaugh Springs. In addition, the area is surrounded by fields of ripe, plump barley that are ideal for distillation. For over a hundred years, the Glenglassaugh Distillery operated at its original site, producing single malt whiskies that were best known for their starring roles in renowned blended Scotch whiskies, including Cutty Sark and the Famous Grouse. In 1986, however, production at the distillery ceased, and would not be restarted until 2008, when new owners took over Glenglassaugh. While the distillery is again producing new whisky, the new owners discovered they had purchased quite a bit more than the famous distillery itself: the purchase also included a cache of some 400 casks of aging Glenglassau gh Single Malt whisky, each more than twenty years old.

Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg! Committee Release 2020 Scotch Whisky
About Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg! Committee Release 2020 Scotch Whisky
Situated along the southern coast of the island of Islay, Ardbeg Distillery was founded in 1815 by the MacDougall family. By the end of the 19th century, nearly one-third of the population of the island was employed at the distillery, which became notorious for producing some of the boldest and most robust Scotch whisky in the industry. Today, the distillery remains a testament to Scottish innovation and heritage.Ardbeg Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from malted barley, which is peated to approximately 50 phenol parts per million. Once the peated barley arrives at the distillery, it is milled and mashed with water sourced from Loch Uigeadail before being fermented in washbacks made of Oregon pine. While wooden washbacks are more expensive and difficult to maintain as compared to stainless steel washbacks, they absorb a portion of the heat generated during the fermentation process and thus, create a lighter and richer whisky. In addition, the wooden washbacks contribute carbolic compounds to the whisky.
Following fermentation, which lasts for 55 hours, the wash is distilled twice, first through a copper-pot wash still and then again through a copper-pot spirit still. The spirit still is equipped with a purifier, which acts as a small condenser and causes a portion of the evaporating vapors to be pumped back into the pot and then re-distilled. This purification process, which is rare in the industry, results in whisky that has a signature fresh and malty flavor.
Islay has only 3,000 inhabitants and more than 140 committees, the largest of these being the Ardbeg Committee. With over 120,000 global members, the Ardbeg Committee serves the common purpose of celebrating Ardbeg whisky. Arrrrrrrdbeg! Committee Release 2020 celebrates Mickey Heads' 13 years of leadership. The expression is bottled at 103.6 proof and was matured entirely in ex-rye casks. It's brimming with fruity notes.

About Angel's Envy
After graduating college, Lincoln Henderson joined Brown-Forman as a grain chemist and was eventually promoted to Master Distiller. During his 40-year tenure at Brown-Forman, he honed his skills while developing new brands such as Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Jack Daniel Distillery "Gentleman Jack" and Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Whiskey. In addition to being responsible for the development of new products, Henderson oversaw quality control, technical distillery supervision, and sensory evaluation. "I never regretted a day when I had to go to work," says Henderson, who was awarded Malt Advocate's Lifetime Achievement Award and was an inaugural member of the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame. After retiring from Brown-Forman, Henderson decided to go rogue and launched Angel's Envy Bourbon. "Angel's Envy is a lot of things," said Henderson. "It's my life's work. It's a whiskey of incomparable smoothness. It takes into account over 200 years of bourbon heritage an d mingles it with over 400 years of port wine heritage." The name is derived from the term "angel's share" ― the portion of whiskey that evaporates as it ages in wooden barrels. After tasting the bourbon, Henderson realized that the angels might want a larger cut. The family operation is now run by his son Wes Henderson.

About Dictador
In 1751, Severo Arango y Ferro arrived in Cartagena, a port city in northern Colombia. Ferro had been sent to Colombia from Spain, and was asked to establish and oversee commercial trading activities between Spain and its American colonies. Ferro proved himself to be an able and ruthless statesman and under his leadership, the city of Cartagena became a hub of economic activity and the most important port for the Spanish fleet in the Americas. Ferro's strength and power also earned him the nickname "Dictador."Dictador was partial to a variety of rums that were being distilled in the Caribbean at the time, many of which passed through Cartagena on their way to Spain. In 1913, over 150 years after Ferro initially arrived in Colombia, one of his descendants established Destileria Colombiana. Today, the dis tillery honors the legacy of its founding ancestors with Dictador Rum.
