Longrow 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About Longrow 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Nearly two centuries ago, the town of Campbeltown, located on a narrow peninsula in southwest Scotland, was considered the whisky capital of the world. Passengers arriving by sea at Campbeltown Loch, nestled between Macringan's Point and the rocky island of Davaar, were greeted with the sails and masts of the herring fishing fleet and the smoking chimneys of nearly thirty different distilleries that called Campbeltown home. Two-hundred years later, Campbeltown Loch is considerably quieter and only three chimneys continue to billow smoke — each acting as a beacon for an industry that, at one point, dominated the peninsula. In 1828, Springbank Distillery was founded on the site of Archibald Mitchell's illicit still in Campbeltown (today, Mitchell's great-great-great-grandson owns the distillery). Within ten years, its whisky was so well-regarded that a blender by the name of Johnnie Walker purchased 118 gallons at 43 pence a gallon.
By the turn of the century — as worldwide demand for Scotch whisky seemed insatiable — distilleries throughout Scotland began cutting corners and outsourcing parts of the distillation process. Springbank Distillery, however, remained true to its Scottish heritage. Today, it remains one of only two distilleries in Scotland to perform every step of the whisky making process — from malting barley to bottling whisky — on the same premises.
Produced by Springbank Distillery, this Longrow 18 is dark and slightly mysterious, with a complex nose that unearths a peaty aroma reminiscent of dunnage warehouses. This heavily peated, brazen since malt is bottled at 45% ABV.

About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

Lucky Seven ‘The Proprietor’ 12 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey
About Lucky Seven 'The Proprietor' 12 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey
Lucky Seven Spirits was founded by best friends Michael Lahalin and John Pals. Both bourbon fans and cinema aficionados, the pair settled on the moniker Lucky 7, named after the legendary Stage 7 of the Warner Brothers lot, where countless classics such as Casablanca were filmed. Since the giant stage got a reputation for producing so many hits, it got the nickname "Lucky Stage 7."The pair sources and blends rare bourbons, only using the finest juice they can find and releasing them as limited editions: 12 YO "The Hold Up," 6 YO "The Jokester," and 12 YO Single Barrel "The Proprietor." They have won several medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, among others. As befits the Hollywood and movie history that permeates Lucky Seven, they have also created a series of short films that accompany each expression. The luxurious decanter bottles include several nods to Old Hollywood, as well as real 22-karat gold.
Lucky Seven "The Proprietor" 12 YO Single Barrel Bourbon isn't a blend at all. This series consists of exceptional barrels that Lahalin and Pals deem too great to blend and instead get the single-barrel release treatment. 3 barrels have since been released: The smooth #5 has dried stone fruit notes, t he #7 has fruity oak, sweet dried fruit, and vanilla, and barrel #9 has brown sugar, molasses, and cantaloupe.

Maker’s Mark Justify Special Edition Bourbon Whiskey
About Maker's Mark Justify Special Edition Bourbon Whiskey
On October 1, 1953, William Samuels Sr. purchased Burks Distillery, which was situated in Loretto, Kentucky, for $35,000. Five years later, the distillery released the first bottles of Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whiskey, which featured the distillery’s distinctive red wax seal. The distillery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and was listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1980.Made from a mash of corn, wheat, and malted barley, Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (spelled without an “e” to honor the Samuels family’s Scottish heritage) manages to marry large-scale, global production with a rich tradition in a way that few other distilleries can rival. The actual “makers” of Maker’s Mark still rotate the barrels in the distillery’s warehouses, bottle the whiskey and dip the bottles in wax — all by hand.
Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon is distilled from wheat, making it highly distinct from the majority of other bourbons on the market which are made from a mash of malted barley, rye, and corn. Wheat serves as the replacement for rye in the recipe. This 'wheated' bourbon, is crafted from red winter wheat, and bottled at 90 proof.
This special edition Maker’s Mark commemorates Trip le Crown-winning racehorse Justify. The bottle’s green, black, and white color scheme honors the silks worn by Justify’s jockey, Mike Smith.

Manoir D’Apreval 1980 Calvados Pays D’Auge
About Manoir D'Apreval 1980 Calvados Pays D'Auge
Manoir D’Apreval 1980 Calvados Pays D’Auge was crafted in 1980 from a unique blend of organically grown apples. Lettelier chose a selection of bitter and bitter-sweet apple varieties, which were rich in tannins and acidity and ultimately provided the calvados with its smooth flavor and full body. Once the apples were harvested and pressed into a tart juice, the fresh cider was rested for ten months in a fermentation tank in order completely transform the sugars into alochol. Next, the cider was twice distilled through a pot still in the traditional Pays d’Auge method and then immediately transferred into oak barrels for maturation.Manoir D’Apreval 1980 Calvados Pays D’Auge was matured in 1,200 liter oak barrels for 25 years, before being transferred into 400 liter barrels in 2005. After maturing for over 33 years, the calvados was brought to proof and bottled. It has a dark mahogany color, along with an aroma of bitter oranges, cocoa and ginger bread. Notes of dark chocolate, orange, citrus and caramel dominate the palate, and lead to a finish accented by tobacco leaves and coffee beans.
Manoir D’Apreval 1980 Calvados Pays D’Auge was named one of the top ten spirits of 2014 by F. Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal. Pick up a bottle today!
About Manoir D'apreval
Since the reign of Charlemagne in the 8th century, distilleries in the Lower Normandy region of France have been distilling calvados — a type of apple brandy. Calvados is made by harvesting and pressing fresh apples into a pulpy juice. The juice is then fermented into a dry cider, which is distilled before being matured in oak casks for a minimum of two years.Calvados has a long and rich history in France. When an outbreak of phylloxera devastated the vineyards of France, calvados experienced a golden age. In addition, during World War I, calvados was requisitioned by the French Army both as a drink for French soldiers to enjoy and, because of its alcohol content, for use in armaments.
Manoir d’Apreval is a family-owned calvados distillery situated in the French commune of Honfleur, which sits in Normandy’s "Pays d’Auge" region, made famous for its production of apples and Camembert cheese. Established at the beginning of the 20th century by Victor Revillon, Manoir d’Apreval has since been stewarded by three generations of Revillon women — Victor’s wife, his granddaughter, and now his great granddaughter, Agathe Lettelier.

Mezcal de Leyendas Grandes Leyendas
About Mezcal de Leyendas Grandes Leyendas
Mezcal de Leyendas Grandes Leyendas is the first release in this exclusive series that honors great maestro mezcaleros over the age of 70. It's created by Maestro Mezcalero Don Anastacio who has over 60 years of mezcal-making experience and began learning the art of the craft at a tender age of 12 years from his father. This artisanal mezcal blanco is crafted from agave cupreata that grows wild in the deciduous forests in northern Guerrero. The process begins with fresh local stream water and the agave is crushed by hand, fermented in small oak wooden vats before distillation in copper alembic stills. The result are mellow aromas of mature tropical fruits, orange blossom, and light smoke that develop into rich flavors of bittersweet chocolate and orange peel on the palate.Mezcal de Leyendas is focused on bringing artisanal mezcals using rare and unique agaves from different regions within Mexico. Instead of focusing on one particular type, their aim is to use the most prevalent agaves from each region allowing them to guide the consumer across the entire DO of mezcal. These are sourced from diverse regions, highlighting the local terroir as well as showcasing the skills of local Maestros Mezcaleros. Each region ― be it Durango, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Puebla, or San Luis Potosi ― features one master producer of mezcal.
But they do far more than just that. In 2005 they opened the first Mexico City establishment that only sells artisanal mezcal helping spark the boom we see in mezcal today. They organize festivals and work to h elp the industry grow, educate, and take part in projects that deal with sustainability and fair trade ― both crucial aspects of securing a bright future for the famous Mexican spirits.

Laphroaig 16 Year Old 2021 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About Laphroaig 16 Year Old 2021 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In 1815, Donald and Alexander Johnston began leasing nearly 1,000 acres of land on the island of Islay. Their intent was to raise and sell cattle on the land and as a result, they began growing barley to be used as feed for their livestock. Following a particularly bountiful harvest, the brothers distilled the excess grains they had grown into whisky, and sold it to the inhabitants of the island. Soon thereafter, the brothers found it more profitable to distill whisky than to raise cattle, and Laphroaig (pronounced La-froyg) Distillery was born. For over a century, the distillery would remain in the hands of one of Johnston's descendants. In 1954, however, Ian Hunter passed away childless and bequeathed the distillery to Bessie Williamson, a secretary that had been working at the distillery for two decades. Hunter was incredibly protective of the distillery — while he slowly revealed its secrets to Williamson after she had earned his trust, Hunter prevented a cooper who was employed at the distillery from publishing his memoirs because they described the workings of the distillery in too great a detail.
Laphroaig Single Malt Whisky is one of the most flavorful and intense whiskies made anywhere in the world. During Prohibition, it was one of the few whiskies still legally imported into the United States, as it was considered a medicinal spirit. Laphroaig Single Malt is made from the finest Scottish barley, which is malted at the distillery and smoked over a peat flame. Unlike other distilleries which source peat from the Scottish mainland, the peat used to smoke Laphroaig barley is made from the heather, mosses, and lichens of Islay and adds a distinct iodine-like flavor to the whisky.
After the barley has been malted and peated, it is fermented before being twice-distilled through Laphroaig's copper-pot stills. The unique stills have an unusually flat base and flat surfaces, which lends to the overall intensity of the whisky. After the whisky has been distilled, it is aged in seasoned oak barrels, which are re-charred prior to being filled. The re-charring process caramelizes the remaining sugars in the barrel, and adds slightly sweet notes of vanilla and nutty dough t o the whisky.
Laphroaig 16 gets released on special occasions, starting with their 200th anniversary in 2015. The 2021 edition spent its 16 years in 1st-fill ex-bourbon casks before being bottled at 96 proof. The barrels impart the spirit with a striking bright-gold hue as well as vanilla and spice notes that blend perfectly with Laphroaig's signature peaty, maritime taste profile.

About Kentucky Owl
Kentucky Owl was founded by Charles Mortimer Dedman, a local pharmacist, in 1879. After marrying his wife, Dedman was given a large parcel of land on the banks of the Kentucky River, as a wedding gift from his adopted father who was a local town judge. C.M. Dedman Distillery was established here on the banks of the Kentucky River, producing "The Wise Man's Bourbon" under Distilled Spirits Plant Designation "No. 16", one of Kentucky’s original distilleries and part of a booming industry.Kentucky Owl achieved much success and production continued until Prohibition halted distillation. The family-run facility was no match for the "forces of teetotalism, temperance and eventually, the Feds". In 1916, Prohibition left several local distilleries with ample reserves of bourbon. As for Kentucky Owl, approximately 250,000 gallons of bourbon were left over in various stages of aging. Today these reserves would be worth about $40 million in inventory. After Federal agents descended on the Dedman’s distillery, the bourbon was seized and shipped up the river by barge to the state capital in Frankfort for "safekeeping" in a warehouse.
Currently, Kentucky Owl is in the midst of designing a stunning state-of-the-art distillery park with rickhouses for aging, a bottling center, as well as a vintage dinner train to stop on th e property. It will be built at Cedar Creek Quarry in Bardstown. The 420-acre site will boast beautiful lakes with crystal clear, limestone-filtered water that will be used in their whiskey production.
About Rye
As American as the bald eagle, rye whiskey was first brewed in the American Northeast in the 1600s. Even George Washington distilled it after leaving the Oval Office, so there’s no way of denying its origin.
It’s distinguished from bourbon for its original and unique spicy notes.
By law, rye whiskey must be made from at least 51% rye grain, aged in new and charred oak barrels for at least two years, and bottled at no more than 62,5% ABV.
