About Remus Repeal Reserve
George Remus, dubbed the "King of the Bootleggers," was a famous bootlegger during Prohibition, exploiting loopholes in the Volstead Act to distill bourbon. Born in 1878 in Germany, he settled in Chicago with his family in the 1880s. In his teens he worked in his uncle's pharmacy, later becoming the owner. It was there that he acquired experience that would prove invaluable during Prohibition, and the pharmacy would serve as the foundation for his empire. He switched careers, going into law and eventually becoming a trial defense attorney — gathering even more useful skills. Once Prohibition was starting to wind up, he would defend many bootleggers, taking note of the riches they managed to amass. Once the Volstead Act was enacted, he found a way to circumvent it and provide a steady stream of spirits for his budding bootlegging operation. The empire expanded and Remus eventually had 3,000 workers as well as politicians on his payroll, briefly living a lavish lifestyle that reportedly inspired The Great Gatsby.

The legendary House of Rémy Martin is indubitably intertwined with the lands of Charente, where it was founded in 1724 by Rémy Martin, a descendant of Charente winemakers. This quaint portion of French terroir has given birth to some of the richest and most fertile crus of Grande and Petite Champagne. These quality vineyards with pale and chalky soils yield some of the most aromatic grapes.Situated on the banks of the Charente River, the Cognac region of France is divided into six different crus (cru is the French term for growth zones): Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bon Bois, and Bois Ordinaire. The Grande Champagne cru, which comprises approximately 34,000 hectares, is known for its quiet hills and rich, chalky soil, and is considered to produce the finest cognac in the region. The ideal conditions of these terroirs ripen the grapes to perfection, revealing "a n exhilarating bouquet of Fine Champagne."
About Cognac
Cognac is a type of brandy produced in the Cognac region of France.
Because the French take it very seriously, there are numerous rules cognac makers have to follow not to fall “short” into the brandy category.
The white wine from the specific grapes (Ugni blanc) has to be doubly distilled in a copper pot still before being aged for at least two years in oak casks from which the wood can only come from two specific forests in France (Limousin or Tronçais).
Depending on the age, there are three types of cognac, the youngest V.S. (Very Special), V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale), and the X.O. (Extra Old)

Rosebank 1992 Special Release 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Today the facility uses the finest barley and crystal clear water from the Cawdor Burn. More time is allowed for the fermentation and the slow distillation process leads to more contact of the spirit with the copper. This minimizes the sulfur notes and brings a fruity, slightly grassy character to the spirit. The liquid is then aged and finished in different sherry casks that give Royal Brackla its rich and fruity sherried notes. The Royal Brackla range was revamped in 2019. The Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the oldest of the 3 expressions. The Highland single malt was finished in a combination of oloroso, Paolo Cortado, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and is bottled at 80 proof. It's a serious and distinguished whisky expression that is fragrant and rich with beautiful sherried notes.

About Royal Brackla
The Royal Brackla Distillery opened in 1812 by Captain William Fraser. Employing the family barley farm, the distillery had its big breakthrough in 1935. They produced the first single malt with a royal warrant, granted by King William IV, earning the nickname "The King's Own Whisky." The operation changed hands many times in the following two centuries before it was bought by Bacardi in 1998. "This is the one that was described as "The Drink Divine" by the Royal household in the 1830s. [...] "There’s only one whisky in the world that can be the first Royal whisky, I feel privileged to have worked on this," says Stephen Marshall of Bacardi.About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

About Royal Salute
Royal Salute traces its roots back to 1801 when Chivas Brothers was established as an upscale grocery store in the Scottish town of Aberdeen. In addition to selling high-end food, coffee and spices, the store offered French brandies and Caribbean rums to its wealthy clientele. Widely considered the finest purveyors in all of Scotland, in 1843 Chivas Brothers was granted a royal warrant to provide goods to Queen Victoria.James and John Chivas, who joined the family business in the mid-19th century, noticed a growing demand among their affluent customers for a smoother whisky. Unsatisfied with the products currently available on the market, James and John began experimenting with their own proprietary blends, quickly building a reputation as pioneers in the art of whisky blending. The duo released their first blend, Royal Glen Dee, in the 1850s, followed shortly thereafter by Royal Strathythan, each providing a springboard for future Chivas Brothers creations.
Today, along with the Royal Salute brand, Royal Salute calls Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, Scotland its home. There, Master Distiller Colin Scott, who has over 4 0 years of experience in the industry, continues the Chivas Brothers tradition which began nearly two centuries ago. Launched in 1953 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, Royal Salute has since become an international symbol for luxury whisky.

Russell’s Reserve 1998 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
About Russell's Reserve 1998 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Back in 1998, Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie — now joint master distiller of Wild Turkey — decided to lay a select few barrels (23 to be exact) down to rest, intending to save them for a special occasion. At that point, Jimmy had spent 45 years at the distillery, and it was presumed he would retire later that year. Fate had other plans in store, however, and today Jimmy Russell remains Wild Turkey’s joint master distiller with 61 years of experience under his belt.In 2014, Eddie was checking on these special barrels when he noticed they were evaporating much quicker than anticipated. He shared some samples with his father, and the duo decided not to wait: they’d found something spectacular and wanted to share it with the world immediately.
“Typically, a bourbon this old picks up a lot of flavor from the barrel and can taste quite woody and dry. We like to retain the caramel, vanilla and fruity notes in our whiskies and this particular liquid seemed to reach a sweet spot around the 15 year mark,” says Eddie. “It was important for us to stop the aging before those less desirable flavors took over the overall profile of the bourbon. I guess I am going to have to find another bourbon to celebrate Jimmy’s retirement… if that ever happens.”

About Russell's Reserve
Following the end of the American Civil War, the Ripy Brothers returned to their native state of Kentucky and, together, opened a distillery on the slopes of a hill in Lawrenceburg. The distillery operated continuously for nearly fifty years until the 18th Amendment, which prohibited the sale of alcohol in the United States, was ratified. Following the end of Prohibition, the Ripy Brothers Distillery was reopened, and a distillery executive named Thomas McCarthy took samples of maturing whiskey from the distillery on a turkey-hunting trip with a group of friends. The following year, his friends asked him to bring "some of that wild turkey whiskey" on their next hunting trip, and the distillery was renamed Wild Turkey. Since 1954, Wild Turkey Distillery has been operating under the tutelage of Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. "I've never been drunk," says Russell, who is a genuine bourbon aristocrat and a living legend in the business, "but I love my work. People tell me, "I hate to get up and go to work," he says. "I go seven days a week. You know, on Saturdays and Sundays, I may go out there and sit around for an hour or so."About Bourbon

Laphroaig 16 Year Old 2021 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About Laphroaig 16 Year Old 2021 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In 1815, Donald and Alexander Johnston began leasing nearly 1,000 acres of land on the island of Islay. Their intent was to raise and sell cattle on the land and as a result, they began growing barley to be used as feed for their livestock. Following a particularly bountiful harvest, the brothers distilled the excess grains they had grown into whisky, and sold it to the inhabitants of the island. Soon thereafter, the brothers found it more profitable to distill whisky than to raise cattle, and Laphroaig (pronounced La-froyg) Distillery was born. For over a century, the distillery would remain in the hands of one of Johnston's descendants. In 1954, however, Ian Hunter passed away childless and bequeathed the distillery to Bessie Williamson, a secretary that had been working at the distillery for two decades. Hunter was incredibly protective of the distillery — while he slowly revealed its secrets to Williamson after she had earned his trust, Hunter prevented a cooper who was employed at the distillery from publishing his memoirs because they described the workings of the distillery in too great a detail.
Laphroaig Single Malt Whisky is one of the most flavorful and intense whiskies made anywhere in the world. During Prohibition, it was one of the few whiskies still legally imported into the United States, as it was considered a medicinal spirit. Laphroaig Single Malt is made from the finest Scottish barley, which is malted at the distillery and smoked over a peat flame. Unlike other distilleries which source peat from the Scottish mainland, the peat used to smoke Laphroaig barley is made from the heather, mosses, and lichens of Islay and adds a distinct iodine-like flavor to the whisky.
After the barley has been malted and peated, it is fermented before being twice-distilled through Laphroaig's copper-pot stills. The unique stills have an unusually flat base and flat surfaces, which lends to the overall intensity of the whisky. After the whisky has been distilled, it is aged in seasoned oak barrels, which are re-charred prior to being filled. The re-charring process caramelizes the remaining sugars in the barrel, and adds slightly sweet notes of vanilla and nutty dough t o the whisky.
Laphroaig 16 gets released on special occasions, starting with their 200th anniversary in 2015. The 2021 edition spent its 16 years in 1st-fill ex-bourbon casks before being bottled at 96 proof. The barrels impart the spirit with a striking bright-gold hue as well as vanilla and spice notes that blend perfectly with Laphroaig's signature peaty, maritime taste profile.

About Kentucky Owl
Kentucky Owl was founded by Charles Mortimer Dedman, a local pharmacist, in 1879. After marrying his wife, Dedman was given a large parcel of land on the banks of the Kentucky River, as a wedding gift from his adopted father who was a local town judge. C.M. Dedman Distillery was established here on the banks of the Kentucky River, producing "The Wise Man's Bourbon" under Distilled Spirits Plant Designation "No. 16", one of Kentucky’s original distilleries and part of a booming industry.Kentucky Owl achieved much success and production continued until Prohibition halted distillation. The family-run facility was no match for the "forces of teetotalism, temperance and eventually, the Feds". In 1916, Prohibition left several local distilleries with ample reserves of bourbon. As for Kentucky Owl, approximately 250,000 gallons of bourbon were left over in various stages of aging. Today these reserves would be worth about $40 million in inventory. After Federal agents descended on the Dedman’s distillery, the bourbon was seized and shipped up the river by barge to the state capital in Frankfort for "safekeeping" in a warehouse.
Currently, Kentucky Owl is in the midst of designing a stunning state-of-the-art distillery park with rickhouses for aging, a bottling center, as well as a vintage dinner train to stop on th e property. It will be built at Cedar Creek Quarry in Bardstown. The 420-acre site will boast beautiful lakes with crystal clear, limestone-filtered water that will be used in their whiskey production.
About Rye
As American as the bald eagle, rye whiskey was first brewed in the American Northeast in the 1600s. Even George Washington distilled it after leaving the Oval Office, so there’s no way of denying its origin.
It’s distinguished from bourbon for its original and unique spicy notes.
By law, rye whiskey must be made from at least 51% rye grain, aged in new and charred oak barrels for at least two years, and bottled at no more than 62,5% ABV.
