About Black Tot 50th Anniversary Rum
Celebrating the 50th anniversay of Black Tot Day – the day when the last tot was distributed to Royal Navy sailors -- Black Tot 50th Anniversary Rum honors the original blend and marries the lost rums of the past with the finest modern rums of the present. A blend of rums from Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, and Trinidad, it's bottled at navy strength. Comprised of rums from demolished distilleries and the remnants of the historic Navy Rum, this one-of-a-kind blend boasts an unparalleled balance of rums, delighting with flavors of licorice, vanilla, lime juice, dark chocolate, and dried mint on the sweet and full-bodied palate. Only 5,000 bottles of this commemorative limited-edition blend were released.Based on a recipe by Black Tot's Head Blender Oliver Chilton, Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum is a blend of the world's finest rums, coming together in a new and unique style. It’s inspired by a Royal Navy tradition, according to which tots of rum were administered to the sailors from the 1600s and until 1970. Bottled at 46.2% ABV, each individual flavor is allowed to shine individually. Bringing together rich flavors of Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica, expect tropical notes balanced by flavors of coffee and chocolate. About Black Tot
Founded by Sukhinder Singh, Black Tot was inspired by a Royal Navy tradition that started in the 1600s and lasted until 1970. During that period, a tot of rum was distributed daily to the sailors, instilling them with the neccessary courage to fight battles. Si ngh tracked down and sampled examples of original blends of Caribbean Rums from collectors and had them analyzed. This is how the story Black Tot was born. Singh modeled their flagship rum after the original navy dram, honoring the historic drink and creating a new, modern spirit.About Rum
Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.
We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.

About English Harbour
Antigua Distillery Limited was formed in 1932 by a group of eight local entrepreneurs, who a few years earlier came together to buy molasses in bulk and control the distillation process for their rums. In 1933, the company opened a rum distillery on Rat Island in St. John's harbor and the first rum it produced was sold unaged in casks to local rum merchants and aged or matured as Caballero Rum. In 1947 ADL introduced its own label, Cavalier Muscovado Rum, and a lighter version of this rum is still marketed today as Cavalier Antigua Rum. In 1991, the distillery installed a 3-column pure copper still from John Dore & Co., modified on site to simulate 5 columns, which is the only column still in the Caribbean to which other metals have not been added.About Rum

About Godet
It was way back in 1588 that a Dutch merchant started his salt & wine business in La Rochelle, a harbor town in Western France. His name was Bonaventure Godet and he is counted among the first to start distilling his wine in order to minimize the cost of transportation, receiving the right to do so from Henry IV of France. La Rochelle is where the Arab distillation techniques were first used with locally-produced wine, so it is considered the birthplace of cognac.First known as "Dutch burnt wine" or "brandjwine", it was the innovative Dutch traders and salt merchants such as Godet that were blazing a trail in cognac production. The business kept growing, so in 1782 Gédéon Louis Godet registered the cognac brand. Today, Godet Freres Cognac is a family-owned operation that is still based in the harbor and is run by the 15th generation of Godets with Jean Edouard Godet serving as Master Blender. Godet Cognac is known for its "floral nose, fruity palate, and a well-balanced length" and the uniqueness that aging the spirit by the Atlantic Ocean brings. < div class="brand-link"> Explore all Godet bottles >>
About Cognac
Cognac is a type of brandy produced in the Cognac region of France.
Because the French take it very seriously, there are numerous rules cognac makers have to follow not to fall “short” into the brandy category.
The white wine from the specific grapes (Ugni blanc) has to be doubly distilled in a copper pot still before being aged for at least two years in oak casks from which the wood can only come from two specific forests in France (Limousin or Tronçais).
Depending on the age, there are three types of cognac, the youngest V.S. (Very Special), V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale), and the X.O. (Extra Old)
